Widow Allowance

If you have become widowed, divorced or separated later in life and have no recent workforce experience, Widow Allowance ensures you have an adequate level of income.

If you have no dependent children and have not been getting a payment from Centrelink, Bereavement Allowance helps give you an adequate level of income while you make funeral arrangements, settle financial affairs, look for work and find out whether you are eligible for a longer term payment from Centrelink.

If you are in receipt of an eligible pension or allowance, a Bereavement Assistance helps make it easier for you to adjust to changed financial circumstances after the death of your partner or someone you cared for.
