My favourite Melbournecafé when I am on my own is tucked away behind Melbourne’s famous Chapel Streetin the suburb of Prahran.
Why do I like Babble Bar and Café?
Well it’s really got the lot.
It’s open from 7am to very late.
There is a wooden balcony running around the outside for sunlovers and those who want to be seen.
Inside, in winter, is a cosy fire.
The muffins are made on the premises
The music is funky
The owner has a ton of personality, even if he does barrack for Carlton.
And, oh yes, the coffee is great.
So if you’re a single soul in Melbourne and looking for a great neighbourhood café, which serves a delicious brunch or lunch or nibbles with a drink, then Babble does it all.
Highly recommended.
