Funeral planning

17th Feb 2010

Discussing funerals and plans may not be acceptable dinner party fodder but it is important for people to know what you want. Changes to recent legislation mean a simplified process and a better understanding of what is available.

Issued by the NSW Office of Fair Trading, Funerals, is a handy downloadable brochure which details different options for funerals, what to consider when arranging a funeral and what to do if something goes wrong. Changes to legislation require funeral directors to provide itemised quotes on a basic funeral option, if they have one.

To download the brochure, visit the NSW Office of Fair Trading.

For handy information on organising a funeral, they also have a webpage with useful tips. For more information, visit Organising a funeral.
