Save $$$ on your mobile

14th Dec 2010
When your mobile plan is coming to an end, it is more than likely you will receive a letter in the mail from your service provider offering to upgrade you to a new and better mobile phone, for free.

Be wary, such an offer could lock you into another 12-24 month contract. Instead of accepting this offer, take a look around, you might find a deal which saves you hundreds of dollars.

Shopping around is important when looking for a mobile, broadband or even landline plan. Start by visiting the major telecommunication players and companies who on-sell, such as Crazy John’s, as they may be able to deliver a better deal.

When you decide it’s time to check out the competition or change plans, ask yourself the following questions:

What can I afford per month?
Do I really need a new phone or am I happy with what I have?
Do I need to change service providers?

It is important to remember that you may be able to get a plan which better suits your needs and saves you money every month by staying with the same provider but changing your plan.

Click on the links below to find the best deals on the market. Start at Crazy John's, as it will give you an overview of the majority of new phones available.

Crazy John’s – Mobile Plan Finder

Telstra – Mobile Phone Plans

Optus – Mobile Phone Plans

Vodafone – Mobile Phone Plans

Three – Mobile Phone Plans

Lastly, it is worth considering bundling all your services into one bill which will save you time and most importantly, money. For more information on bundling read YOURLifeChoices recent enewsletter – Bundling explained.
