Tribute to Sam Loxton

At age 90, Sam Loxton was one of only three surviving members of the great Don Bradnam’s 1948 Invincibles. With his death on Sunday, only two members now remain.

As a personal friend of Sam Loxton I am saddened at his passing but pleased that we had him as long as we did. He was a thorough gentleman who was not afraid to speak his mind but he always did it politely. He was a great cricketer and a great man. His dear friend, Neil Harvey, will be grieving sorely.
