"Different" people
Where ever I have lived there has always been a local identity who lives and looks different to the norm. That is their choice.
Our local shopping centre has a chap in his mid to late 60's (I think he would be of ethnic background). He is about 5'7" very fit looking, extremely tanned (I would not be surprised if he frequents our nude beach..he is always tanned). Probably weighs about 66kg. He is bald.
His outfit is always intriguing. Today I saw him in multicoloured shorts so tight he must have had to hold his breath toget them on. They are extremely short and every time he walks I expect there to be an accident ;).
Always wears a peaked cap, a man's leather handbag over his shoulder, one gold earring and always a skin tight singlet...no shirt. Always wears socks and workers boots.
He always dresses the same way...maybe different shorts and singlet but always skin tight.
Has coffee at the same place we do and have never seen him in company with anyone else.
I sometimes sit and glance across at him and wonder what his story is. I find him quite an interesting person. Of course everyone has a look at him but I am so used to him now I barely glance but he does intrigue me.
Does anyone else have someone who looks different to the norm in their suburb?
So true Radi , I was talkng on a another post about a character down in Bendilong in NSW where I have a hideaway .. He is in his nineties lives on his own except for a pet snake and polishes up local stones and makes bottles of coloured sand , he and Sophie 13 have a bond .
There is also Bobbie . Bobbie was born in Ireland grew up on a farm in NZ was a champion boxer , a member of The NZ SAS then a debt collector for the bookies . Where his nickname was Shotgun Bobbie ...
He attends a very posh Girls school as Sophie's Grandfather on Grandparents day . He would do anything for her and she for him ... I agree the world needs characters with a big heart .....
