"RIPPED OFF" ??? - Ever? ... and by whom?

...there are not many people in this world - who have not been "Ripped Off" - "Scammed"  etc. at some stage in their life - if they are honest enough to admit it! ?? Or possibly even too embarrassed to admit it?

It could be from any of the following:  - Family - Friend's - Companies - Strangers  (door knocker's -  or just people you unfortunately happen to come across in your life?) Burglar's - Cop's - Parking Inspectors' - Restaurant's - Supermarket's - Shops etc. - the list is endless..................

I am sure we can all relate to "something" we can still remember that happened to us that we felt/and possibly still do - feel really "stupid" about!?

..... and "RIPPED OFF" !   :-)

I GOT MARRIED,       i was definetly ripped off,

Hello Catsahoy

what a beauty!!!

now that put a smile on my face

all four cheeks are glowing !!!

Second that one Cats .. I drive past homes saying I used to own that..,

glad you both got a smile out of it,    but im serious,   what happened to the mink and diamonds,  ?lol, lol,       but things could be worse i suppose,   dont know how, off hand,   but im sure they could be,

50 YEARS GONE,       where,   for what,

lol lol - ohhh Cats - that is sooo funny!   :-)  Bet a lot of people could agree with that comment! lol

50 years gone here too cats

sandi,  unfortunatly it has happened to a lot of us,     i wonder if we would do the same again if we could change it,     i have 3 great children out of mine,  so can be thankful for that,   but as for the rest,    /?    im not so sure,

Yet another woman on ACA this week who was scammed by someone from the African continent.   Now, about to lose her home.  Her friends, relations tried to warn her to no avail.

I just shake my head.  What is wrong with people...there has been that much information about these scams so it makes me wonder are people just "dumb" when it comes to matters of the heart.  They just close their eyes and ears.

The moment they start asking for money....sometimes they groom these women and men for months on end then they go in for the kill...........I would be gone.  In fact I would not have been in their position in the first place.

Love over the internet is fraught with danger from what I have seen.  Yes, some may be genuine but........!!

Seggie. I saw that segment re the 'scammer' and the 'scammee' (my new word) and thought loneliness was probably the reason but give me a good book, two or three good books, a cup of tea and that will suffice. And all of you!

Remember I did take off my rose-coloured glasses a long time ago.  The old saying that if the scammer looks good, he's probably rotten to the core.  Put them all in the bin.

Seggie

So you think I should throw

both of these good looking gents in the bin ???

But but both $ETH and KFC look so honest

and they are both so charming ..... I know in my mind you are most probably right but in my heart it is different story.

Surely if they were scammers they would not be allowed to be members of YLC ?

imsorry,  but i cant feel sorry for these people,   so much has been on the news and t,v,   they must realise they are being conned,      i realise some people are lonely,  but why not go on a site here,  where you have more chance of checking people are genuine,     why worry about someone thousands of miles away,    if they have that much money , that they can send to someone,   they have enough to join some good clubs where they may meet someone face to face,

ABBY,   i must agree,  those two in the bin look allright,   maybe they are the exception to the rule,     do have honest faces,

why are people so WEAK that they fall for their stories

Seggie again. I, too, don't understand them either, jessej.

OK - wasn't gonna put this on here - but I will !!! -  maybe some will get a laugh .......so embarrassed - lol

My first "Rip-off" in my life - was at age 15  when I went to the Royal Melbourne Show with some school friends and then wandered into "Sideshow Alley" - Amazing stuff - lol - full of "spruikers" trying to get people into their tents -  "Half-spider/half woman" -  "See a dead-man walking" etc. etc. - there was the biggest queue outside this particular tent  - Come on in and see the "INVISIBLE MAN" ..........ok - queued up like a fool (for ages) ...spent 25 cents (big bikkies in those days!)  - walked into the tent....there inside was a very small wooden ring - painted blue - and filled with sawdust............. in the middle of the sawdust were two HUGE footprints.........(nothing else of course)

I asked the guy "Well - where is he?" lol - he said "He's there love - he's invisible - see his footprints?" - DUH  - these guys were raking in so much money like you would not believe - lol - still "smarting" all these years later for getting "sucked in"!!! lol lol lol -

Hope u got a "smile" at my expense - lol   argh

ha ha foxy,    i guess a lot of people got conned by those sideshows,
