The video clip  takes a minute or so.

Perhaps Barnaby Joyce will become a movie star when he leaves the politics.

ha ha ABBY,   very funny,     i love johnny depp,   just a bit more than george clooney,

They should jail Johny Depp and throw away the key .... putting those lovely little mutts at such a risk .... all for his own gain and pleasure ...let alone exposing Australia with such an environmental risk.

Oh puleeeeze Abby........ these are your classic "pampered pooches". Flown here on a private jet and housed in Depps rented mansion and probably eating better quality food than you or I. They were never a threat to anyone....it was just Depps selfishness and blatant refusal to abide by our sensible customs and import requirements. Sure, he broke the law and probably deserves a slap on the wrist, but its not like he imported a couple of rabid wolves and released them into our countryside.

Guess like Barnaby Joyce in the video clip above,

I too will not be invited to the opening of Pirates of Carribean :)

The Queensland government paid $20 million, for the movie to be made on the Gold Coast, one movie set with the ship is next to the Helensvale train station and filming has to stop every 30 minutes and wait for the train to go.

Depp knew of our strict quarantine laws as two monkeys were needed for the movie which were to be quarantined.

The movie is way behind budget due to Depp's strange behavior and all the hype that Qld would benefit from the movie being made here is a load of codswallop.

Dear kfchugo, the quarantine rules are strict rules which apply to every animal, plant, foodstuff imported into Australia.

You must be more clever than quarantine officers if you can look at wolves in a cage and tell which are rabid and which are not.

Rules are rules and apply equally to everyone whether a prince or a pauper.

By the way, Depp did not stay in a rented mansion, he was staying with Mick Doohen and family on their large property at 284 Colman Rd. Coomera (look on Goggle Earth) on the Gold Coast, ten minutes drive from where we live.

Sure would like a gate like that

Mak :)

kfc is just ribbing me because of my soft spot for the pooches :)

I admit to a bit of ribbing Abby, but this is a "storm in a teacup" - Depp broke the rules (which everyone needs to obey) and he deserves some kind of repercussions. I dont believe there was any real risk of these "pampered pooches" being disease riddled or a threat to anyone. Regardless of where they were housed, they were safely enclosed and no threat even if they had been diseased. Lets be sensible here and look at what actually happened rather than believe all the scare mongering of what MIGHT have happened.

People smuggling wildlife in or out of this country for profit are the real targets of these rules and that is as it should be.
