What sort of money do you have to pay in total for both eyes ?

I had a friend that had one eye done for free and when he had to get his other one done 9 months later Gillard took it off the list and he had to pay over $3000.

Good to see you posting again  Maggs. Best thing about having cataracts done apart from everything clearer is how bright colours are and so much better to feel safe to night drive once again. :)

Having them done 2 weeks apart, left eye is $1300, right eye $2o40 ( I have an astygmatism,, sp.?) so a bit dearer but will be able to do without my glasses apart from tiny stuff ... I don't mind wearing glasses but if left alone my eyesight will get much worse  .... I dread the thought of losing my sight ( losing my marbles is bad enuff, lol ) and the cost of replacing specs is probably higher so hopefully, it's worth it ...
