6.4 million tonne increase in Aus carbon emissions

I just read on The Australian that according to The Climate Council, our carbon dioxide emmisions went up 4.3 per cent in the last financial year, following the abolishment of the carbon tax.

There was an 11 per cent drop in the two years the carbon tax was in place.

The next UN Conference on Climate Change is set to take place in December, how do you think we're going to look on the international scale?

Who cares what we look like overseas I think we lost the cultural cringe years ago . I can think of better ways to spend our money that to send billions overseas for the right to emit CO2 ...

I am still waiting for my 500 bucks from the removal of the carbon tax. Trouble is my utility bills have gone up not down. My consumption of gas and electricity have not gone up but my bills have.

Crickey those bloody renewables , think how much higher it would be with a carbon tax...
