Wimbledon has begun... You noticed didn't you?

1 Andy carries the nation ..on his back....
as he strokes his balls this way & that...
Oh when he misses... Oh when he fluffs
It's Wimbledon fortnight.. We can't get enough
When the tennis is ended... And green lawns worn bare
Who will remember.  Who will care


 2 In the meantime ...the nations      transfixed,consumed
Andy will win we believe & presume
Will he?   Won't he? Our nerves worn bare
Possibly? .....maybe?........I don't 'really' care.

3.  Will I watch?  yes of course,on TV wall to wall

                 Can't be avoided no way  at all

                 Resigned to my fate it's two weeks            to run

                 Sit back relax.... Join in the fun
