Do you find it hard to be active?

With modern technology, do you find it hard to be active? This cartoon image is the perfect example of what's happening to us. What was once a natural part of life now need to be a concsious effort on our behalf. Recent research says that we shouldn't be sitting for longer than 30 minutes at a time, as it's unhealthy as cigarette smoking if we do, despite doing daily exercise. So how can you be active these days?

As a writer, I try to remember to get up every 30-40 minutres to get a cup of tea or glass of water. I use wash my dishes by hand even though I have a dish washer, and prefer to do my own housework rather than getting a cleaner. Everyone is different. So how do you make sure you're using your body?

No Lesh, I do not find it hard to be active. Up at 6am each day, and either off for my bike ride or some gym exercises regardless of weather. This sets me up for the day and I find I'm more able to do other things throughout the day. Agree with you totally, exercise, exercise, exercise!!

Ray, a man after my own heart, yes i'm up early for an early swim in the bay, I jog down the street to the beach, and straight in, exhilerating, then jog back home, cold shower under the hose, wonderful... then I hear a loud ringing noise,  shite, it's the ruddy alarm bell. just had another nightmare.

I think excise is bad for you....you only have so many heart beats so don't use them up to Quickly...

HA HA PETE.   a man after my own heart.      but must admit i do enjoy walking,    used to do about 5/7 k a day.    but now about 3 k a day is all i can manage,    thanks to those LIPITOR    which have buggered my legs,

pete.   wheres my toast,   lol lol,

Since purchasing a Fitbit I am trying to walk the required 10,000 steps a day...which comes out at around 7kms (I think that isr ight).  It is quite amazing how many steps you do during your daily tasks without realising it but I find I have to do about 30mins a day on my treadmill in addition to  to get  to  the 10000 steps.

wish i coul do more walking than i do,   i miss my little trips,   and the people an animals i used to see,
