There was a topic here a while back re "Kangaroo Dundee," which was the subject of a popular tv show.

Well "Chris ‘Brolga’ Barns has used donations and proceeds from his hit television show, Kangaroo Dundee, to build what will be the only wildlife hospital in a 1500km radius.

“I’ve got a zookeeper background, and I came to Alice Springs and found out there was no help in a zoo situation to take care of wildlife,” he said.

“I came to town 10 years ago and I thought I would change that.”

I have been a licenced & trained wildlife carer for over 25 years and can understand and appreciate Brolga's feelings. This is generosity plus. Raising money, not for self but for our valuable fauna.
