Gerry, do you know the name of the single that Lennon/McCartney wrote?

72 is young. RIP Cila Black.

Not sure but I think it was Love Of The Loved

I think Step inside love was one ...

.... everyone dies eventually ... some sooner than others - unfortunately!  Sad  :-(

I heard tonight that she wanted to die before she reached 75. She got her wish. Her songs bring back lovely teenage memories. Good lyrics, strong voice, great melodies.

Sure a better option than being stuck in a Nursing Home somewhere.

True but nursing homes aren't as bad as they used to be. Probably though, most of us would want to die before being institutionalised in one,

Just had a weird thought. You and I could be still talking to each other via this medium in our nursing homes in 20+ years time Abby. What fun!

The Nursing Homes look like better fun in US

"A nursing home in the United States is being sued by an elderly resident’s son, after he found a photo of his mum stuffing dollar bills in a male stripper‘s undies.

Yep, 85-year-old Bernice Youngblood was busted by her son having a grand ol’ sexy fun time, and now she’s in big trouble".

The son must be worried mum might spend all his inheritance ?

Was never a massive fan of Cilla's voice, always thought it had a slightly strained quality to it...and didn't really regard her in the same league as someone like  Dusty Springfield, think I even preferred Lulu's voice to Cilla's...But always thought she came across as a bit of a 'sweetie' personality wise..

Often take a wander through 'Youtube Land' and look at videos of the old rockers and pop stars of that era, constantly amazed at how really young and innocent they look - for instance Stevie Wright of the 'Easy Beats' in the 'Friday on My Mind' clip - darn good song and their best - looks about 16 and probably was, have seen docos of him in recent years, and sadly drugs, alcohol, and illness took their toll....And groups like 'The Shirelles' and 'The Ronnettes' - just so young.  Similarly Australia's 'Little Patti' - 'Blonde Headed Stompy Wompy' etc. looks about 13...

But enough of this nostalgia......

"You're myyyy Worllllddd you are myyyy night and daaaayyy,

You're myyyyy Worllllddd you're eveerrry prayer I praaaay,

If ouuurrr loovvvveee ceases to beeeee, you're the ennnndd of myyyy worrrllld for  meeeeee" - or words to that effect...Good, bad or indifferent just know this song will be rumbling around in my mind for the rest of the day!!

RIP Cilla Black...
