Could it be possible to upload your mind?

In an interesting segment on Sunday’s The Philosopher’s Zone on Radio National, a discussion took place about whether or not it will ever be possible to upload your mind prior to death, which should provide some interesting food for thought.

It would seem that the concept of digital immortality might one day be possible. According to journalist Olivia Willis’ article “a number of philosophers, neuroscientists and futurists believe that a safe form of mind transfer will be possible one day”.

Does this interest you? And, if you don’t mind me asking, what possible use do you think your uploaded mind could have for your family or for future use?
