Fairfax in jihad against the government

That's the thing if you compare EVERYTHING to NewsCorp News, then they appear bias.
HERE'S a THOUGHT..... it is NewsCorp that is totally, totally over the top bias and the others are just reporting the news.
NewsCorp is the only news outlet I know that had nothing (else nasty and dispicable) to say about the previous PM, so put ON THE FRONT PAGE a picture of Rudd with a fly in his hair and called him a childish name 'fly brain' or something equally pathetic.
Because of Newscorp, the Australian people were the only people in the world who did NOT know how well Australia was performing during the GFC when every other country was faltering. Australia's economy was the best in the world (yes, beat China, Russia and absolutely killed the USA) and to deflect NewsCorp put Rudd on the FRONT PAGE with a fly in his hair.
Fairfax has been targeted recently by NewsCorp and other FOREIGN media in Australia, who want them OUT OF BUSINESS and yes, their media business is sliding.... just as Newscorps profits are sliding... both failed to join the cyber world earlier rather than later and neither did it well or effectively. Fairfax is starting to make head room into that area lately and hopefully, should survive, however, there is a lot of political pig swill being presented by NewsCorp to try and remove Fairfax's advertisers and hopefully, get them to redirect to NewsCorp.
What a SAD day it would be if an AUSTRALIAN media corporation is 'rubbed out' by FOREIGN media corporations who would then control our lives and spew forth UNOPPOSED, indoctrination and propaganda.
Dutton is a dud and it has always perplexed me why he was touted as a rising star some years ago. He has demonstrated no competence in opposition and even less in govt. What a curious term to use, jihad. Maybe Dutton could purchase a thesaurus with taxpayer funds like Brandis does.
Anyone, that is incompetent and willing to lie and achieve very little is welcomed with open arms in the Liberal Cabinet.... Abbott likes them that way because they are no threat to his leadership, they make him look good; and ensures that none of them have the thereforall to actually do anything that will upset his pretend big boy mates.

The Australian has a circulation of about 116,000 somewhat less than YLC . I would say it's editorials and op-ed pages are centre right . But it takes various stances such as pro Republic Pro Climate change . Pro Kevin Rudd..it has a range of columnist from left and right but more from the right..it has broke many scandals including the wheat scandal that embarrassed the Howard Govt..,It's definitely pro business

If you see the Australian as far right , you must be coming from a position of far left. For me to understand your position you would need to explain to me what is your philosophical view on social and economic matters.
I have explained mine in depth on many occasions and why I joined the LDP as many of its policies match my own Libertarian views.
I critise the Coalition, as I did in "Lone view of a rightie" for its centre right actions in raising tax. I also critise the Australian for not espousing radical right views of smaller govt and lower taxes ..and decentralising of power to competitive states..

People can have opinions leaning to either side of politics but it is the extreme views that are dangerous.
As far as the one man LDP is concerned - well big on ideals but short on sensible policy.
"Extreme" views are the life blood of discussion . Today's politics have descended into pragmatism. The two major parties in Australia are influenced by their Factions. IMO when the pragmatic Right In the Labor party are in the ascendancy they are electable . As of now the left are in the ascendancy and therefore not electable on policies. But maybe as a personal vote against Abbott if the CFMEU multi million campaign is successful.
The coalition IMO gives a nod to right wing views but does not inact any policies in fact the reverse..

Basically I think our government is saying it can't handle any criticism or opposition. They are a big bunch of pussycats! Especially Peter Dutton who ran away to bed sick when Operation Fortitude turned into Operation Ineptitude. What a joke!
Our economy is a mess, everything down except our DEBT which has tripled. Normally a debt is okay BUT when the other economic factors have taken such a nose dive, more from economic mismanagement than mining easing off, the DEBT becomes a big deal.
Other than implement mega corp 'wish lists' as policies, the Libs have done NO homework, undertaken NO studies, NOR consulted with non-partisan economic experts in the field. They have no SHORT, MEDIUM or LONG TERM PLANS in place to stop this country from free falling into recession and bad times.
Abbott is without doubt the most embarrassing, most incompetent and the absolute WORST leader, this country has ever seen.
THIS is WHY the ABBOTT government's MAIN aim is to close down the reporting of FACTUAL information by the ABC and other media (Fairfax). It is essential that Media ONLY promote Liberal (big boy) MANTRA and that the masses are ONLY presented with abject bias which oozes from the FOREIGN owned and controlled media...... (mainly but not exclusive) NewsCorp.

The problems at Fairfax are they are losing so much money that have sacked so many reporters and the good ones have left the sinking ship. So you are left with juvenile reporters. There is no excuse at the ABC or YLC it is institutional .
