Wonderful show for Seniors now on tour - Lonnie Lee and the Leemen

Hello,

Because it is so hard to get te word out to baby boomers and seniors about shows they would like to see, we have decided to use the places where seniors go to, such as sites like this.

Radio, TV and the press will not give editorial anymore to the older shows and performers so many never get to hear about a show in their area, until it has gone. The media industry is a run by young world who don't even think that one may like to go see a show even if they are over 50??!!

So, here's a little blurb about Lonnie's show he is taking around Sydney, NSW, Western Australia and Tasmania over the next few weeks. You can see the actual dates here in the tour gig guide at the web site.. http://www.lonnielee.com.

Aussie Music Legend Lonnie Lee once is on tour. He and his band The Leemen will present the hits that made him famous and a household name in Australasia and many other areas of the world. Songs like 'Starlite Starbright', 'I found a new love', 'Yes Indeed I do' and many many others. A wonderful show filled with 35 songs. Singalong, tap the feet and fingers and remember the days.......

As well as his older hits, he presents many of his new songs from his latest albums and tributes to the greats such as Johnny O'Keefe and 'Johnnie Ray'.

Lonnie spent 15 years in USA writing with and for Roy Orbison as many other stars and was made an Honorary Member of the US House of Representatives for his work for the muisc industry. Don't miss this show.. Bookings are now open for most shows. See the gig guide for info.

Another thing. If you ever think of listening once again to the songs you sang along to when you were a youngun' in yhe 50's, 60's and 70's, maybe you might find a CD or two here. http://www.starliterecords.com.au/catalog

Have a great day and hope you can make it to a show sometime.

Hi Starlite

Thanks for the info on Lonnie. I have been a fan since day 1 and catch his shows whenever I can.

It's a good idea of yours to post on the Senior's sites.

I have Lonnie's (and others) websites saved to my favourites so that I can keep up with what is happening and plan outings/trips etc; accordingly.

The last time I saw Lonnie perform was at Tamworth in January and, as always, the show was great.

I will see him again next January and also intend going to Mildura Wintersun next year.

The "Blue Suede Cruise" Nov. 2010 also sounds great. A terrific talent line up....including another favourite of mine, Jade Hurley. I hope I can manage to talk a friend into going with me.

Cheers. Goldie.
