Bloody hot! as was yesterday, the day before and the day before that and so on.

You coping okay Robi?

What is the humidity like, if that is high too it's not something I ever want to experience.

Yes thanks toot. I handle the heat ok...I have to because we don't have air conditioning.

Viv, humidity is very high and keeps us constantly sweating.

Hot and windy, cooled down a bit in afternoon.  Thnk god for air conditioning.

We just realized we put the wrong a/c unit in 10 years ago.  It's coped well all that time - until now.

The man who put in is now retired so we rang the supplier - Actron - and were told it would be $176 call out fee, before any work is done.  Anyway, he checked it all out and said it was working perfectly, nothing wrong at all.  So we should have put a bigger unit in and hope this helps anyone thinking of putting ducted air in their home - GET THE BIGGEST UNIT YOU CAN AFFORD.

I am going to the bank tomorrow to Mortgage my house..

My air conditioners have been going full belt practically everyday since Boxing Day...

And I suspect my electricity bill will burn rather a substantial hole in my savings... :(

But never the less I am keeping a cool head...

Cranky, if you have be languishing in the cool over this heatwave, do not fret, it was worth every cent.

I am a fresh air freak toot, Even though the air conditioning is a godsend I feel like I am suffocating...

The beach is just down the road but it's too hot to get there and jelly fish and bluebottles have invaded the waters...boy I am on a roll today...what a whinger...lolol

Thank you toot.

Glad I wasn't there. I can deal with hot days, so long as it cools down properly at night. That way I get some sleep.

Just curious. Where was it a "hottest day on redord"?

Not questioning this at all. I'm an old weather nerd. Just love these record details.

Whoops. Posted this in the wrong place above. It belongs here.....

Thank you toot.

I wonder if Abby and her chickens are alright there has been no communication from her for a while. The animals domestic and wild would be really suffering in that heat as well as the plant life. I hope your gardens are surviving.

I was just thinking what a marvelous job those volunteers do to protect our lives and homes, on the radio they said there were 12,000 out in that heat yesterday.  They all deserve a medal, not one life or house lost.

I hope Abby checks in soon.

It's amazing how folks are so easily CONNED....in December 1790 it reached 43C in Port Jackson, so it would have been far hotter in the West....and NO air conditioners...come on folks, get with it....

If I were alive then I would have been cooked to a crisp and resemble your avatar.. :)
