Australian Seniors Party Aim No 1

Well I guess that if Mohomed wont visit the Mole Hill, the Mole Hill will just have to come down to Mohomed. Is everybody happy with this?
To use all legal methods of improving the situation, of all Australians, over 50, working, self funded retirees and pensioners alike, the largest group of Australian Citizens, totally without representation in any of the three tiers of Government in Australia.

Gosh old devil, we needed you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont mean to be pedantic, but I am not good at research - are the "over 50's" the largest group without political representation? How many people are there below working age for example.......do kids have political representation? If we release something in print, it better be right.

I would prefer wording along the lines.....

"To use all legal methods to lobby, influence or bring about legislative change in order to improve the financial, emotional and personal wellbeing of all Australians over the age of 50 years, whether working, self funded retirees, pensioners or any other category of senior citizen. "

I would also like to see a statement in the aims of the party that refers to "improving the public perception of the challenges, inequities, difficulties etc that senior citizens encounter" I really believe that many of the younger generation believe that we oldies have "got it made" and that we either retire in luxury after having accumulated wealth all our lives or that we own everything and live very comfortably on the pension. It may however be more appropriate to make this a separate aim or include it elsewhere (if considered appropriate).
