We toured the South Island a few years ago after my son's wedding in Christchurch ... such beautiful landscapes.
Travellers rave about a 'secret' magnificent railway journey with breathtaking scenery in Australia: 'It looks straight out of Europe'
Travellers are flocking to the enchanting Kuranda Scenic Railway in Far North Queensland which runs through lush rainforest past scenic mountains and waterfalls. The historical train journey runs through Queensland's world heritage-listed rainforest from a historical town of the same name all the way to Cairns. Guests and passengers have been raving about the incredible journey that snakes through the Wet Tropics rainforest and Scandinavian-like mountains, and past tumbling waterfalls. The 100-year-old train and charming stations will transport guests back in time with one calling the journey an 'old school experience'

Wondered how you are and have you done this trip?
I've done the Kuranda railway trip more than once ...very spectacular.

What a nightmare on a hot day in the crowds!
