OPSM - return policy on specs- anyone know

Bought 2 pairs of specs from OPSM - first lot ready in Dec - had 3 adjustments to date last one pick up second pair 4/1.

Nice women in the store 3 of them so far adjusted them but originally said come back as often as needed for adjustments - silly me - worn specs since 12 yrs old and never had any need for adjustments.Bought their own frames. Got home wearing them that Friday and sore ear but falling off my face in the heat in spite of light weight lenses so last adjustment no good - cant tell until wear them a while, tried since was going back Monday but legs in this hot weather worse and up the hill thought wait have to go back to doc Friday.

The frames are out of kilter - left arm is bent outwards like a banana right similar but worse thing hinges left weird and think this is problem because with each adjustment worse thing is right lense almost on my eye so gets really mucked up - even driving home still bad which has never happened before - got heaps of old specs all straight across the frame and straight arms - these even the frame is bent and one time the girl bent it more to try to bring the arms in but again on my right eye lense - almost wondered if it had a problem as never had these type before that darken down and go sort of covered with - probably mineral powder. Husband reckons that these are a lemon pair of frames as he says frame itself is thicker one side than the other where hinges are and hinge not working left side because of this - but tell them - they wont believe it - usually these days treat older folk like they are batty.......laughing but not funny.

Sorting out receipts after paying off credit cards and came accross the one for last Fri and says Valued Customer and ring feedback 1800 etc. thought ring and ask returns so know tomorrow

Girl answered I asked for their returns policy - she asked how long had I had them - and then who am I etc. Oh and she asked me where I had bought specs prior to OPSM ? Duh - what difference does that make I said ? No reply.Went away - long wait - everal mins - and back she comes.

"Area manager will ring you within 2 working days".

Not Happy Jan - just wanted their returns policy why have a 1800 number if you cant answer that.

Oh dear - will get that when I go in and bet I have to pay all over again for same type of frames to fit the blooming expensive transitional light weight active no reflect lenses most expensive of the two pairs but Optimist said I have catarcts starting and have to have sunglasses so got distance transitional plus as heavy lenses paid extra for lighter ones - had to be these. Reading specs fit perfectly as usual for me.

Not cheap either over $750 all up so can only hope they value me as a customer and do the right thing which is send them back and replace the frames for none or minimal cost. Not that  had to pay all of it myself but point if they get this amount.

Good service in the shop but this sort of thing does get me going - why cant companies pick people with empathy to answer questions on their products instead of cold couldnt care less robotic types.

Teach me to let them pick the frames but bad leg walking day and they are uphill and so buggered and let the girl bring an assortment - note to self - learn to pick my own

I have recently had both eyes done , and all I  need are mk1 specs from the el cheapoI took them to the surgeonwhen I went for a check,  he tested them and said they were fine

I see him again on wednesday and I hear I will need to return to the optician , and be checked to be certain ,

Good for you Tad , I just  got a new eye prescription and was told to go back for another test in 6 mnths as have cataract and cornea problems but not serious at this stage, they tried to sell me 2 prs of glasses for $600 pffft!I'll send my script to Zennis and get titanium multifocals  for well under $100 even tho' the script is unusual

Thanks for putting in the name Maggs, does your multi-vocals from them include specially ground lens for astigmatism? Got a pair of readers from OPSM using my own frames after rebates about $180.oo they generously waved the fitting  fee of $30.00 they normally charge if you don't you use their frames! $420.00 before rebates, but I got the script out of them. Their frames were just not very strong.

Vivity, if you go to Zenni.com and to their contact us page you could send them an email and ask them directly, they're very good at answering and I noticed recently that they're on facebook so should read reviews there too maybe for extra info, good luck!

titanium frames very expensive from zenni:- $32 .. lol
