Twila my term 'puritan' was directed at those who are quick to judge others without knowing the circumstances prevailing at that time. What is happening in someones' life at a certain time can later cause a lot of pain and suffering., If we all had our past put under a microscope we would not be guilt free, even may I say, also you. As you mentioned about certain men on this thread, their thinking etc, it also applies to the thinking and attitudes of certain women, Where I would have thought a women would have more understanding of another women.

The attitude I now have for the PM and the photoshoot is informed by that of her history with married men.

Even if a marriage is having problems, I do not think an outsider should take advantage of the situation. 

Unprincipled, opportunistic and ruthless are traits that come to mind.  The latter two traits are perhaps acceptable in politics, the first certainly isn't.

 I will bow out from this thread.  seth has labled me as puritanical.  I admit I don't accept the arguments:  "everyone is doing it" ... "you don't knock back an offer" ... as any legitimate reason to deeply hurt others.

Obviously, I am alone with this viewpoint.

Twila, read my last post again and  notice I never called you, personally, a puritan,  but  you seemed to have done so, A discussion brings out different opinions and can be a learning process if one has an open mind and not shut in their own concepts.
