What a terrible decision to wish to make,  shows the power of the mind over the body,  if it is psychological problem why not brain surgery? if pschychiatry can't help.

I suppose if you are in a situation like that you must have something going on in your life to distract you from reality

Why would a dr agree to this?, I mean she can stay in a wheelchair if that what she wants now but what about when she's old, who will look after her?, I think Seth's right , a 'shrink''s what she needs

Thinking  of all the paraplegics who would give anything to have use of their legs, Seth must be right as you are too, any Dr. who disabled her would be a criminal.

This ""Body Integrity Identity Disorder" is indeed bizzare .  Yet it is a real thing.

I saw a TV programme a few years back about this bloke who did not like his right leg, he eventualy stuck it in a tub of Dry Ice and froze it off. And became satisfied with his body.

A few years ago when I was a High School teacher, I was asked/obliged/told to search one of my Year 11  form group for concealed blades, as he was bigtime into self mutilation. Which he performed on a fairly regular basis in front of the year 8's

On one occasion, he concealed the sharp bit of a pencil sharpener under the bandage of a previous self mutilisation incident.  I failed to discover this blade.

Later on that day he gathered a group of year 8's & 9's in a place out of watch where he proceeded to slash his forearm until the blood flowed.

I copped much  flack over this incident.  His parents slung their muck and ruination my way.  And there was a full investigation.

Somehow, I was expected in the 15 mins allocated for my Form Group, to call the roll, explain any absentees, check for students out of uniform,  handle latecomers, fill in the appropriate forms, and search this boy for blades.   Then be on time for my regular class half a kilometer away. That was my response.

I wonder how this  poor boy is doing today.   Everyones' efforts was hell bent on fixing blame, restoring the integrity of the school, covering tracks etc.  Myself included

I have an answer  to this   Extend the hours of senior school so that the Teachers can spend more time with their students.

Shes either mad,very sick (head) or both,I cant use my left hand real well and i hate it,I have had the main nerve in my right groin transsected that has left me with a very odd feeling and numb thigh (this is why you are not supposed to put keys etc in your front hip pocket) Hope she knows it can cause untold problems with her circulation and muscle dystrophy,and you can feel pain.

She needs help and the doctor needs to be deregistered,the hippocratic oath does not allow that im sure.Both idiots.
