Well looks like there are two sets of rules now in France,one for non-muslims and a different set of rules for Muslims,in particular women Muslims,maybe i am wrong but if I need to see some photo ID then I need to see your face,not a fascimile,not a photo copy but your actual face.

If that is what is happening there, then, it will eventually happen here,do you want it,I certainly do not.But we are going to get it,a load of economic asylum seekers,entering Australia then telling Australians how much they love being free at last,this is after they obtain citizenship,you know,lets act like we are prospective,honest,decent folk,who want to come to this wonderfull country were we can be free from oppression,this of course is the "biggest lie" of the century!

Hang on,lets rewind the tape,why do they come here? Because they know that they can get a do gooder "free" lawyer to fight for them,They get free housing ahead of hard working Australians,(and laugh about it),They get free money courtesy of the Australian taxpayer,They get to be free to walk around covered head to toe in a sack (its not religious apparel),and when they open a bank account to transfer their free money,a gift from the taxpayers overseas (without showing facial ID like Aussies have to) to make sure the potential boat people have the money to pay the people smugglers?

Then they have the audacity to demand where they will be taken,nevermind they were picked up in Indonesian waters,are we really just going to sit back and let it happen,they are not going to move in next door to a politician are they,so they dont care,they are going to move into your area,contribute nothing,but instead take and use all the resources that you have worked hard all your life for,just to make these non integrating freeloaders happy! Bullshit.Thats what it is.

The veil is a joke. It is not even a requirement of the Muslim faith - women may choose whether or not to wear it. I recall a while ago (I think it was in the U.S.) a woman wanted the motor transport people to take her drivers license photo with her veil on. It went to court and the decision was that she must have her actual face (not a veil) on the photo.

This whole thing is ridiculous - a male terrorist could dress in the burqha and nobody would be any the wiser. YES, if you need to be identified for any purpose......we need to see your face. Dont like it?.....go live in a country where they accept YOUR rules.

The veil is a form of oppression,the Muslim men are more mysoginist than any others,they have a very bad sexual problem,they think if you can see any part of a women exposed then it means the woman is flirting,why would any woman find an unwashed, dirty looking, hirstute apelike bearded paedophile attractive,its because they have to,they have no choice,given a choice a Muslim woman would choose a clean,decent,compassionate,tolerant kind man as a husband.

Given free choice,Muslim men could not attract any woman,only by force,not by desire!

There are ways of voicing an opinion without resorting to bile . Jaguar is right about keeping silent . If one says nothing it is a sign of acceptance and therefore something must be said if a person disagrees with either the tone or the opinion itself . A slanging match achieves nothing .

Jaguar, I agree wholeheartedly with geomac that blatant racist statements like Davey's should be named and shamed. It doesn't help though to attack everyone who fails to do the naming and shaming, nor to personally attack those who are expressing fears and concerns underlying racist attitudes. Better to argue against their views without the personal stuff. I hate and despise homophobic attitudes and feel like ripping people to shreds when they voice them but I know it doesn't achieve anything apart from alleviating my own anger a little. I know that I can't force others to think like I do but I can put my voice out there to counter the stuff I don't like and therein lies my own sense of power in contributing to a forum. I hope you don't mind me saying that I think you have given a little bit of your power away by going into struggle with people in a personal way. I for one do not want you to go away.
