Do You Love Music? I Do,All Types And Genres,Tell Us What You Like!

I was born in the 50's and love 60's music and 70's music, thats what i was brought up on,The Beatles,The Rolling Stones,The Who,Led Zepplin and Deep Purple etc,but I am a big fan of the Blues, not keen on Jazz unless it is Traditional Jazz.I love harmonica blues, very early "cotton pickin blues",from Memphis to the soaring amplified Chromatic harmonica found in Chicago.

Am a big big fan of Classical music too,my all time favourite performer was Jaqueline du Pre,her cello playing was something that could only be described as Heavenly,a true virtuoso and her interpretation of Edward Elgars work I think is perfect,he must of composed his Cello Concerto's with her in mind.

There is a wonderfull artist who i think deserves a mention too,her name is Alison Balsom,a trumpet player, but she is the best proponent of the Rotary Piccolo i have ever heard.

But getting back to the 60's and all boys my age all fell in love with the beautifull Sandie Shaw, brilliant artist and is still kicking on but does not perform a lot now.

What do you like,I know some of your tastes but want to hear all about your likes, not dislikes, only your likes?

Regards King Billy,harmonica player supreme...

King Billy I love my music too similar to you but mainly country music,I like Elvis and Frank Sinatra,or any easy listening music while you drive,Slim Dusty is a favourite too and Smokey Dawson.

Snake

Sorry Billy, I love C&W but can't stand listening to Slim Dusty and his ilk, Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakham, Adam Harvey, etc are my style, at night when OH is snoring I often sit up and watch the country music channel on Fox but I like just about any music really, apart from cRap, I listen to a fair bit of classical and pop too and have been introduced to Zuccerro on this forum thru' Greymalkin who posts some beautiful music as does Abby, nice to share different styles of music, I'd never heard of Zuccerro but watch/listen on youtube often now

I will give you a couple of cut and pastes for youtube,

Alison Balsom on rotary piccolo,Vivaldi no less, its beautifull, shes beautifull!
