I agree with sandra g , my heart goes out to those who have lost family in the bush fires and I will be asking at my seniors club meeting today for the club and / or its members individually to donate to the bushfire appeal. If they catch the b*****ds who lit the fires then they ought to roast them over a lit fire.

How I agree with this--!!

Yes I am so sorry that so many have lost their lives and others their family members, property, livelihoods and livestock and the poor native animals their lives and their homes too.

I just get so mad when I hear that many of these fires were deliberately lit.:) 1983 all over again and repeated in all states fie bugs lighting fires - bad enough for loss of stock and homes but lives!!!!

All because of the soft attitude too many seem to have to follow publicly today because they have been brainwashed by political correctness towards these nasty little bastards who go around lighting fires and getting off on it - then when they get caught what happens to them - not enough.

Bring back the stocks or flog them with the cat of nine tails publicly - maybe wont stop them - but sure will hurt them back a bit for the hurt they have given to others. Then put them in gaol for a long time.

If loss of life - that is murder and they should pay the ultimate penalty.

That penalty should be death if only the politicians would have the guts to bring on a referendum as all the polls show people want it where there is no doubt we have caught the one who did it fair and square with no doubt.

Back when we did have it we had not got the technology/forensics we have today and people were hung on circumstantial evidence which was wrong and that was the problem when they were later found to be innocent but dead.
