Restoring deleted files
Is there any way of restoring files deleted by restoring my cmputer to as it came form the factory? I didn't realize it would delete them all, can you help or is it too late?

Gerry will know if it is possible.
Step 3: Restoring To Factory Settings
Each vendor has their own recovery solution, so there is no way to provide a definitive guide to each and every vendor within the scope of this article. However, the general process of restoration almost always works like this.
First, you will start the restoration program in Windows. The program will ask if you’d really like to begin the restoration process and warn you that your data could be (or will be) destroyed during the process.

Hi Geomac
Nice to see you back. Have you been on holiday?
I was afraid you were one of those old members Viv spoke of who have left this site due to the constant aggro amongst some members
I do enjoy your posts although at times too left wing for my liking.
Hey, but to each his own, that's my philosophy
Hi,
thanks for the comments. I think this is what I did but didn't realize it'd actually delete all my files, plus I can't connect to my internet now either, so the computer is now a dud! Luckily I have this newer one. The dud one has Windows XP so it's probably obsolete now anway. Methinks this means it's a nogo for getting those files back now....
Yo Susan
If it were mine I would take it repairer and they should be able to take your files down and connect you back to the Internet if you desire.
Always make sure you do a periodic backup on your computer
Just take note of what Gerry says - who has greater experience to me - he seems to have posted whilst I was writing
Files can usually be recovered if they have not been written over. The may be deleted but still on the hard disc, just not visible.

worth a look - best of luck :)
A system restore will correct most things if your PC is having a cow
