Americans Have Spent Enough Money On A Broken Plane To Buy Every Homeless Person A Mansion

Just days before its international debut at an airshow in the United Kingdom, the entire fleet of the Pentagon’s next generation fighter plane — known as the F-35 II Lightning, or the Joint Strike Fighter — has been grounded, highlighting just what a boondoggle the project has been. With the vast amounts spent so far on the aircraft, the United States could have worked wonders, including providing every homeless person in the U.S. a $600,000 home.

and guess who is buying these shoddy planes - yes, the australian air force.

clever decision tony!

Yes Kika -- but do we expect this idiott PM to study b4 he opens his mouth ?  He never has so far

Idiocy, corruption and fascism, that‘s the Mad Rabbit‘s government. Lots of Aussies need homes, unable even to rent due to cost and lack of stock plus landlord discrimation.

Sorry PlanB, missed this comment as I always seem to be in a hurry.

I saw this on Reddit and simply shook my head.

I think bookwyrm has detailed the situation brilliantly.  Hello bookwyrm, nice to meet you. Your comment was succinct and I personally feel couldn't have been said better.

Hi Mussitate. Nice to have you back. You seem to nip in and out in a flash. Must lead a busy lifestyle.

Are you in politics. Your seem to have a strong passion for it.

Yes Bookworm has also made a good point --but Abbott has had his photo op' sitting in the planes -- seems that is very important to him

Surely if a household item is proven to be a dud and can't do the job it is advertised for it can be cancelled and refunded?

There I have just saved Hockey a great big hole in the budget!

I thought I read somewhere that other countries (France? for one) did cancel their orders? But not us...oh no....we needed the photo opportunity.

You make a good point Viv. Why can't we return them and get our money back?

Excellent idea Viv.

Budget fixed  :)
