What are they smoking ?

Came across a Media Watch bit on the ABC site today . That comic creation the Tele has the weirdest bit I have heard of for some time . It could be a comedy spot for a sketch show . Saliba is Maltese , had a schoolmate called that name , Tripodi is italian . Just another misguided reasoning of these clowns in joining the dots . Second cousins by way of brother in laws but incorrect in any case , bizarre .

Well, according to the Tele it’s this:

Mr Saliba’s cousin Fred Saliba is married to Mr Tripodi’s wife’s cousin.

Er, hold on, can you run that past me again, a little bit slower?

Mr Saliba’s …cousin Fred Saliba ... is married to ... Mr Tripodi’s ... wife’s ... cousin.

Aha. Still struggling with that one.

But over on 2UE John Stanley and Garry Linnell got it immediately:

GARRY LINNELL: Oh, that’s a very close relationship –

JOHN STANLEY: Just follow that.

GARRY LINNELL: That’s a very close relationship.

JOHN STANLEY: This is just incredible.

Don't know why you're making a big deal.

They are related. Kissing cousins

We are related Solly because I say so . You know and I know we are not even with online monikers but the Tele says we are then it must be so . No big deal , comic book journalism with a dash of tin foil hat logic . Tragicomedy set in a media setting .

It just occurred to me you should be asking the Tele whats the big deal . Maybe its a Seinfeld story , story about nothing .

You're the xspurt GMac

Making a big deal out of Liberal party nothings while being blind to labor abuse, corruption and incompetence
