I predict a terrorist attack soon in australia

this morning i've read this piece of propaganda on the abc “just in” news website:

“the federal government says the 157 asylum seekers at the centre of a high court fight could have posed a security threat if they were told where they were going.”

nonsense of course. how could anyone imprisoned in a detention concentration camp pose any threat?

but what an opportunity for our devious federal government to stage a false flag pretend “terrorist attack”.  this will give them justification for more cruel treatment of asylum seekers, and they will increase our already severe restrictions on free speech, movement and the right to peacefully demonstrate and associate together.

would also help them lock down brisbane in particular, before the g20 meeting this november.

australia always meekly follows the usa who are the world's experts at false flag events. let's see if my prediction is right. we'll know by this november.

and, of course, the government will keep those “security measures” in place permanently, to prevent the peasants from revolting.

Australian Federal Police investigating ‘terror maps’ found at Pullenvale, Brisbane, house

CHEMICALS have been removed from a Brisbane house where a former resident was possibly planning to detonate a bomb outside one of Sydney’s busiest train stations.

A liquid explosives stockpile was found at the Pullenvale property last week, with the final stash removed today. A former resident was possibly plotting to detonate bombs with similar explosives used in the 2005 London bombings.

Crudely drawn mud maps were reportedly found at the house in Brisbane’s west detailing an area around Sydney’s busy Central railway station and another in Newcastle.

Should we take this seriously

Did this accidental find of the bomb materials save us from from a home grown Jihad terror attack similar to the London Tube bombings  ?

Should we be concerned that this find was accidental ?

What is the source of this article Abby? Hard to believe someone would build a bomb in Brisbane to detonate in Sydney. They would have a long way to travel with said bomb.

I for one am heartily sick of alarmist BS indicating Australia is under some sort of threat. I agree kika, it suits the government to stir up war mentality, enemies in our midst, to scare us into submission and acceptance of laws stemming freedom. It also stirs racism. Seems to be a Lib thing. I notice on this forum that the Lib leaning people run full pelt with this form of scare mongering.

The link is in blue attached above Should we take this seriously

But you will find it in any newspaper

Pleased to see you are at long last agreeing with our PM Abbott :)

Mr Abbott told 612 ABC Radio.

"But I haven't been advised of any potential terrorist threat in respect of this particular issue."

You are correct in what you say Robi. Strangely these pessimists, telling us that we are about to be invaded by radical Islam terrorists, claim in other threads to be optimists  :)

Have no problem agreeing with Abbott if he makes sense Abby, but do have a problem with the fact that he rarely does.

ps. The Courier Mail. Guessed as much!

Good point Gerry.

Interesting neither in my statement or in the newspapers quoted was Islam  stated  - now who is sowing seeds of racial tension.

Did not know Daniel Fing was of Islam descent - do you know more Gerry/Robi ?

Abby in your statement

"Should we take this seriously

Did this accidental find of the bomb materials save us from from a home grown Jihad terror attack similar to the London Tube bombings  ?

Should we be concerned that this find was accidental ?"

That word  "Jihad" gives the suggestion that it is Muslim extremists, cannot see it suggested in the original article so where did you get it from?

Yes we should take it seriously we jailed eighteen people for planning attacks including the MCG

I asked Abby a question Pete were you replying to me or to Abby?

Anyone who doesn't think we should take Abbs post seriously..,

Yes Kika...those people who "advocate" good race relations are the very people who are sowing the seeds of racial tension...even putting ideas into the heads of some radicals.

Police raid Newcastle homes linked to Brisbane 'bomb house

'DateAugust 20, 2014 - 6:30PM

Heavily-armed police have swarmed two homes in Newscastle connected to suspected Brisbane bomb maker Daniel Fing.

Police used an armoured vehicle called the “BearCat” to smash their way through the front security fence of the Fing family residence in the Newcastle suburb of Belmont North on Wednesday morning.

The fence was left a mangled wreck, as police stormed the property

The optimists are the ones who think we should take no action against terrorists threats..

Some of those over their doing the beheading are Australians Brits French . Do you think they are suddenly radicalised when they go oversesa .

what action are you taking against terrorists pete ?

Debating on here to convince the contributors of the need for action . And you?

I think I will leave it to the authorities whose job it is to protect us.

You didnt say what action we are all to take acting on your advice.

It's obvious Gerry, we are to behead the beheaders. Onward Christian soldier......

Viv :)

I was actually in Newcastle when these proceeding were going on - That is what the local coffee shop talk was all about. The locals are concerned and understandably frightened.

Of course people who are at a further distance are less affected and find it hard to believe.

I often use the Sandgate road bridge but think I will be giving it a miss for a while.

Pete, is yours a prediction or a wish?

Firstly, we need to evaluate any threat carefully and not exaggerate it. Do better than we did with Iraq I would hope, and to use that as a humble lesson of the cost of making erroneous decisions. We'll be paying for that one for a long, long time. We are not as aware as those who, unfortunately live there are paying with their lives right now.

Any proposed changes that threated our democratic rights and freedoms especially need to be considered with the utmost care.

Secondly, we need to be extremely careful we do differentiate a race or a community that need to have their rights curtailed more than others. That would be a huge mistake, again ready to haunt us for a very long time.

I fear what the stupid and hairy chested notion of Team Australia will require of this country. Can this man who was happy to pile 1000 Oz troops in Ukraine be trusted. A prolonged and transparent debate needs to take place on this one before any mooted changes

I thought this Fing guy blew up an ex girlfriends car or the boyfriends car a while back . How does that gel with a terrorist type scenario ?

No shortage of poultry any time soon , plenty of chicken little supply  .

Kopernicus it is a good job Obama is not having a long and protracted debate but is bombing the ISIS ..

Kopernicus

Wars are usually fought for political or religious reasons. Neither of these can stand the harsh light of day but have usually sprung from some dark recess in the mind of those whose sanity and reason is questionable.

Such people rarely fight themselves but send young men to fight and die for their preposterous dreams of grandeur and glory.

It is ongoing and sadly appears to be part of human nature.

Take it easy.

My feelings on this are a little mixed, those who reject, what they think is plain 'alarmist' talk about a possible 'Íslam murderous strike' should realise that is exactly what does occur with these terrorists, they do not care who or how many are killed, it is too late to do anything after the event.

Before Japan came into the war, Menzies was treating them as though they had good intentions, in spite of similar warnings to the contrary, and their invasion of China etc. even supplying scrap iron ..Look at the undeclared attack on Pearl harbour.

The terorists  do not have to invade, they are already here. How many were dancing in the streets here and elsewhere, when the twin towers in America, came smouldering down

It is not so much the average faithful Muslim, who, like most people, just want to live in peace. But the insane leaders who preach hate.

Something will eventually have to be done, let us just hope that it will not be too late.

Watch out Seth . Mussitate and his friends on here will start their terrorist posts against you as well

What is that something that has to be done and to whom Seth ? Japan and Australia in your example were nation states not individuals . Will the average Muslim or even non faith person who has arab background react with gratitude for being harrassed or villified for minding their own business or get angry/resentful ?

Ta Da. Strike one for the NFI's

Two posters make a contribution and solly offers up tripe . Two posters ask a question and solly like pete gives us glib one liners .

Don't like tripe , not in yum cha not in haggis

Geo surely even the most staunch supporter of Islam can see what is going on with Islamic terrorists, if it was Christian terrorists, would you be so supportive?     Unfortunately the peaceful ones who just wish to live out their lives in peace are sucked into it by the fruitcakes. in any dissent like this, it is hard to seperate who is and who isn't, so if no one decries the vile acts, then one can assume they are supporters.

Yes Geo, they were nations but the same principal holds true, attacks by stealth,

Supportive of what Seth ? I do not recall any support for any particular group who uses violence if thats what you mean . I am not sure what this supportive assertion refers to . I oppose villification of people just because they look different as in skull cap or head scarf but that is not supportive is it ? It opposition .

I think it would be helpful if you explain what or who it is that you think I am supportive of .

I support the western bulldogs by being a member . I do not belong to a church or sect or follow a creed in a religious sense . I am not a member of any political party , shooters club , scouts , anglers etc . I am part of the community but thats free and degree of participation is optional .

Now are you doing a pete or twila and trying to verbal me ?

Geo I must be getting mixed signals, Do you agree that they are terrorist attacks carried out by ISIS, Hamas, and other Jihad groups, willing to kill or have killed to further their aims? Which in my opinion, differ not, from any other group or sect or religion, carrying out the same atrocities to further their goals.

These happen to be Islamic carrying out these murderous acts, The innocent get caught up, especially when they remain silent, i'm sure you already know that.

I was quite willing to accept an apology! for verballing, but quickly changed my mind",  when reading of your unrealistic support for the 'Bulldogs

Seth

You will no doubt have noticed I asked if you were verballing . If it was Twila or pete aka etc I would have said do not verbal me . I had a go at a person on Facebook for posting pics of the beheading because they are doing the very thing that IS wants them to do . Now this guy was not a supporter but the opposite ie send troops in yet goes against the family wishes of the victim . It appeared on my page because it a friend of a friend type thing . I expect to see lots of things but not a beheading on my page . If I want to view the pics I can search for them .

The innocent do not have to get caught up , silent or not . How many priests etc have got away with abuse for years because people stayed silent about things they knew ? That is when silence should catch up with people . Going about your life doing the normal everyday things is not being silent about events you do not support or do , its normal.

Teddy whitten , a boyhood legend . All my mates were Swan supporters but I stuck fat . Must admit we went to Port Melbourne games more than VFL anyway .

So far our law enforcement and security agencies have done a pretty good job of ferreting out and watching the radicals in our midst. They have prevented a number of terrorist attacks and managed to lock up those conspiring to offend.

We cannot be complacent, nor can we expect our law enforcement people to be infallible - sooner or later (probably sooner) we will have a terror attack on our soil. It is then that out Australian spirit and determination will be tested. We have sound laws and processes for dealing with criminals here and I am confident that our justice system will prevail. I do think however, that we should consider the death penalty for acts of terrorism resulting in mass murder. Terrorists claim to be happy to die for their beliefs - lets oblige them.

Sound laws and processes which have for decades now been weakened by left wing lawyers who mostly are true believers due to the much higher fees this brings with eternal revolving door and recidivists. Nowadays our gaols, like those of the UK under similar attack as are all western countries, are so full of lifers, they are letting them out secretly in most part on licence in the hope they dont start their shinnanigans and get caught and let the cat out of the bag, mind you its out in the Uk due to just that. Most likely goes on here as they let our rapists etc early as well as pedophiles who will never be 'rehabilitated' so are a menace to innocents for the term of their lives.

And,I think KFG, majority would agree not only to death for all terrorists which should have been done when Arafat started the terror reign of Islam in 70's but also for murder with intent and caught red handed with no doubt at all. The left argue that innocents are hung - well today we are far ahead in forensics so life for circumstantial fixes that imo. And death puts the rest of the sentencing back into kilter.

As it is out right now and all over the place and one thing most agree on, no justice for victims.

Geo that is so right, the Priests were more or less given free rein by their superiors, who would have known what was happening,Like protecting the instituton, forget the victims.

Isn't that the same today? with people WHO do speak out, are  condemned by  accusers of called scaremongering, and are only legimately pointing out the danger, that surely lies ahead, if everyone sits on their hands.

When I was a young lad, our little gang of five, would go to 'Brunswick St. Oval" followed fitzroy those days, we would often scuffle with magpie supporters, a friendly punch up.
