Save $5 notes

I never spend a $5 note so I have a real lot :) to spend on anything I really want. Amazing how quickly they mount up, and do not really miss not spending them each week. Good for Christmas shopping.

Why don't you save $50 notes Phyl . just take them out of the miserly dragons wAllet when he ain't looking

Nah we need our $50 notes to enjoy our shopping :)

What a bargain 4 kilos of Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce for just $2.99 at NQR so we bought 4 tins and opened one and got 6 big containers for the freezer. Great for our Aussie style Spag. Bol.

Geomac must be saving heaps at NQR and Aldi as they are both near where he lives.

We have an Aldi near where we live but not NQR.

Hmmm Phyl you just wait until we get one here in WA then we will be comparing and not going green with envy, grrrrrr.

Just back from Aldi Viv., and OH THE BARGAINS :) The 800gm Soy and Linseed Loaf was on special but even when not, it is still a great buy as is all their bread.

I could go on about how good Aldi is but hey your colour is blue, not green :)

I am a Scorpio so my stone is Topaz have both coloured stones but must say I prefer the Blue Topaz to the very Dark Brown one. How did you guess my colour is Blue?

Psychic. Viv., but Peter is far better than I am. 9x7 Oval Facet Topaz 2.5ct

We had a georgeous Siamese cat who loved Peter SO SO much. Sadly for us gone over the Rainbow Bridge now.

That is why Zapot spells Topaz. :)

Aldi are going to build in Seaford Rise South Australia,it will be a little way from home, but  I wil visit but when I come home to  Vic I always go to Aldi to shop

I put all my loose change in a jar and find it adds up to some $800 per year.

I used to collect it for the young ones but it seems they all have outgrown the change,

so once a year I buy myself a special gift :)

A pity so many of the younger generation dont realise that even a small amount put away will add up over time.

Someone in my family spends $10 a day on coffee plus buys lunch every day.  Works out around $100 a week.   Yearly would pay for a holiday or whatever but pointing out to people where they can save money is like bashing your head against a brick wall.  Why bother ;).

I add up all my change and bag it and bank it and gain interest

Amazing just how many people step across a coin on a footpath - too lazy to bend down and pick it up.

Maybe they don't even see it? Have to say when I am walking I am looking ahead and around at eye level not down at my feet.

I am fortunate enough that my eyesight allows me to take in the whole picture as I walk.

Yes have seen that happen often Abby

Aldi is coming to the West and one to my town as well I think   yippee!!

How Exciting - Life will be fantastic with an Aldi close by.

You can buy about half of what you want in Aldi.......best go to Coles

Coles is going to be on one side of K-Mart and on the other side will be Aldi (when the new shopping centre is built).

I look forward to some great specials :)!

lucky you Radish :)

Phyl

I do that with $2 coins and it is amazing how it adds up ... money box = $300.

The smaller change goes into kids money boxes and bank accounts.

They certainly add up. I got annoyed the other day as I had two $5 notes and a $50 and whereas I never spend the purple ones, the lady saw them in my purse as I opened the notes side, so I could hardly hand over a $50 lol.

I sent grandson $50 x 10 purples  and now and again send him $25 pocket money.

I did not mean I never spend them :) as when I really want something special I do, but just not for everyday grocery shopping :

Hope Aldi hurries up for you Radish.

Which shopping centre are you talking about Radish? So far it is promises promises the first Aldi to open in WA will be inundated.

Viv

At the end of last year I read that Aldi was planning to build some 80 stores in WA in 2015 - 2016

I know that Abby it was said first one early 2015 but nothing so far but we did get a Spud Shed in a nearby suburb, which Deanna mentioned, but not the Aldi. Very pleased with the Spud Shed though.

I empty my purse every day and all silver coins go into a money box and once full I take to Bankwest where they have a coin machine.  Ususally get back around $100.

I hate carrying around all the loose coins that  seem to accumulate.
