Scots hard heads win - remain part of UK.

Good thinking prevailed in spite of that rather left sneaking in votes for 16 years old still at school and no idea of life with parents picking up their tab. Shades of Rudd he wanted to bring voting age here down to 16 too.

Pound back up and sighs of relief all round.

Good news for once.

I think it right that the Scottish people made the decision , no matter what the result was. It was not for any other people to decide for them. They made their decision and now it is over.

It will be interesting to see if the british government stick by their promises that they used to get support for a no vote.

More interesting will be how the English react. We have at the moment the Scottish MPs sitting in Westminster representing 5 m people making laws for the English of 63 m people . Whist the English MPs have no say on laws effecting Scotland.

Agree with Gerry on the vote. Must say its a win for democracy and the way the ballot was set up with a massive participation compared to the usual elction turnout.

Yes Geoff

as you say a win for democracy considering the turn out for non compulsory elections.

At least they will be able to eat now............you Aussies have no idea just hard things are in Scotland

Most sensible result!

...Oh so no more "Scotland Yard" in the U.K.??? What they gonna call it/change it to?  England Yard/British Yard? lol lol lol - joke!

winners!

Geesh what are you drinking tonight

The idiotic welfare bludgers tried to hijack the country.

They failed, but it goes to show 45% of the population. Are basket cases
