The dress code is being repaired at last.

So pleased - us blokes will never be tossed out of a pub again for wandering in wearing budgie smugglers a singlet and thongs. The shela can get by with just a sheet - how relaxed is that.

No more dress code because some people have proved that here in Australia anyone can do anything. -

if they can why not us - we are equal arnt we ?

We thought that laws were laws like no bike helmets in banks but thats not true and how good will cameras be if we all covered our faces or are only some allowed to cover their faces in banks and other places.

If it was a custom or law that  people needed to cover their faces then OK but when its by choice then no in public.

For example The Holy Koran says that men and women must dress modestly but even the police in Saudi Arabia do not insist in the face being covered nor any other Islamic country say Indonesia,Malaysia , Egypt or Qatar.

Part of a Scottish kilt is the dirk but that is not allowed here is it ?

Military are told not to wear their uniforms to or from barricks .

Is freedom only for some people - seems so.

If i were to dress - cover myself from head to foot  - and walked through the shopping centres of Australia would that be OK as well

Just another complaint from me and wonder what you think so have a great day

regards

You are "spot on" peter, the burqa is a throw back to the middle ages and while some women say it is "their right" to wear it, I personally think it is the men who are pushing it and brain-washing the women into feeling a need to wear this demeaning, uncomfortabe, confronting and archaic form of attire. THE MEN of Islam certainly wouldnt wear it. If a migrants culture is to wear a loincloth and carry a spear, should they also be allowed such cultural observance? The burqa has no place in a modern, western civilisation and that is not even considering the security issues of going around in public anonymously.

As you say Peter, freedom is obviously only for some.....try wandering around in a Police or Military uniform or dressed as a clergyman - you would be locked up for impersonating those professions.

Not sure what you are suggesting . Are you suggesting that occupiers  of premises cannot set their own dress codes for entry?
