Nitschke Appeal

The Nitske Appeal is due to commence in Darwin next week against his suspension by the Medical Board of Australia.

Should the MBA and the Government hold power over Euthanasia or should the individual be empowered to make this decision when they want to leave with some dignity.

Quite right Seth, but which is more humane "murder" by a painless drug overdose or allowing a loved one to linger on in hunger, thirst and possibly  painful suffering for days or weeks for an end that is inevitable anyway. Ones "right to life" is NEVER questioned and is accepted as a basic human right across our planet - I am extolling our right to DIE - quickly, humanely and as painlessly as possible, which few seem to understand, unless they have been exposed to a loved ones horrible and slow death.

Seth, your stance is moral and I understand that - mine is practical. A dog that is run over by a car will be put out of its pain quickly and humanely, yet we deny the same mercy to those we love - makes no sense to me.

The right to life is questioned across our planet . By those who promote abortion and euthenasia.

kfc that gets to the core of euthanesia, no one wants to see people suffer unneccessary, But when would euthanesia be applied, who would be appointed, can mistakes be made,? I could point to myself as an example of what may have happened with Éuthanesia', after an accident my ribs penetrated my lungs causing lung failure, complete kidney failure as well as multiple fractures to legs, pelvis and spine, then the heart got in on the act,     I was resussitated, twice , I still remember the unending pain, it would have been then,I would have welcomed euthanesia, Thank God in my case, it wasn't legal. No doubt if my family had not kept at them, it could be a different story.
