G20 SUMMIT BRISBANE

Tony Abbott has said the summit will be more than just a 'talkfest,' like the one held last year and promised decisive courses of action and plans to promote stronger, more resilient economies. The whole agenda says the Prime Minister is focused on growth and jobs. He continued to say that this year’s Brisbane summit will focus on a few key subjects because progress usually comes “one step at a time." Read more here:

Well what a surprise! Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the Australian government for the atmosphere at the G20 summit in Brisbane. “Our Australian partners created an extraordinarily welcoming atmosphere for work. I was surprised by the warmth with which normal Australian citizens received our delegation," Putin told a forum of supporters in Moscow, according to an official transcript on Tuesday.

Wait, there’s more, Putin also added praise for Prime Minister Tony Abbott. The Russian president however had sterner words for the United States, warning Washington it would never succeed in its attempts to subdue Moscow. Rest here:

The Hon Joe Hockey MP stated on 20 September 2014 "G20 Finance Ministers have agreed to tackle base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) to make sure companies pay their fair share of tax.

We have also agreed to increase transparency and crack down on tax evasion.

In 2013, we unanimously agreed to a 15 point BEPS Action Plan. This will help secure our revenue bases by limiting the opportunities for double non-taxation and ensuring a globally coordinated approach to international tax challenges." from http://jbh.ministers.treasury.gov.au/media-release/052-2014/

But in Monday's Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook : "The government will not proceed with a targeted anti-avoidance provision to address certain conduit arrangements involving foreign multinational enterprises (SMH Dec 17)

More backdowns, more lies from an inept government out to destroy Australia financially. Slimeball Toxic Tony & Joeliar at their worst

If I say  I agree with your sentiments on TA's backdowns and constant BS, I will be called a leftist loony, but I don't care because the mad monk is indeed leading us off a cliff. I consider the G20 a waste of money and won't hold my breath as to fruitful outcomes.
