Latest rumour is that Jacqui Lambie could be going to resign from PUP today. Never could see her and Clive having anything but a fiesty relationship considering the personalties of both of them.

Interesting days ahead it would seem.

I was just reading about this. From today's ABC:-

The head of the Palmer United Party, Clive Palmer, says Jacquie Lambie has been demoted by the parliamentary party.

Mr Palmer said Senator Lambie has been removed as deputy Senate leader and deputy whip of the party for failing to attend three party meetings this week.

I don't think Clive will sack her as he needs the numbers but will she stay with PUP ?

Jacqui Lambie and (the returning to politics) Pauline Hanson, a formidable force??

Do not know whether Jacquie Lambie can afford to quit - Palmer spent a lot of money on that position.

Palmer can't afford to lose her number & if she resigns, there is no way that she will hold the Seat in 6 years without Palmer's money. Also she does not qualify for any pension in her 6 years.

I read some time ago that there was a financial implication for Jacquie Lambie if she quit PUP and I was puzzled by that but heard today that Palmer spent over $600K on getting her elected and he does not spend money without expecting a return.

Maybe she signed some document or other; who knows. I will be very surprised if she does quit if it will cause her financial hardship. She already owes $11,000 to the Defence Department who apparetly overpaid her at some time in the past. Lambie is relucant to pay the money back (so they say).

Palmer will become irrelevant if his hold over his party members is lost and Innes is quite correct she will not get a pension in her first term. I doubt very much she would win a second term.

I just heard on the news she will be discussing her situation with lawyers on Monday - suppose the Disability Pension does not pay as much as to what she is getting now.

I have done a check on Jaquie Lamie and she has had a "chequered" life so far (to say the least).

...just some really ridiculous "ditzy" news .........she went to a TOP hairstylist in Tasmania - and - and - will be revealing her "new look" to the press on Monday! Jaquie has had a "make-over"!! Yayyyyy! lol lol lol ..................(can't get any better than that!? lol) ..........
