More LNP CORRUPTION - Sell OUT for $67000

Here is a link to a Guardian article which talks about LNP senators having absolutely NO respect for the law or any enquiry into their malfeasance and corruption.

They have LIED to the the Senate inquiry and carried on like spoilt, bully children.... they know nothing will happen to them, I guess.  

With Abbott as their walking example.... stole >$84000 as (sham) travel expenses and got away with it.... a recipient of Govt funding gave Abbott's daughter a Scholarship (no others considered or even told about it) AND Abbott did NOT declare it..... Govt Funding was extended to Murdoch's daughter-in-law when everyone else in the field missed out.

This is NOT a union which has draconian, STRICT rules of conduct and too much temptation thrown their way by unscrupulous Corporate Employers.... THESE are the LEADERS of AUSTRALIA.

No integrity, no respect and no intelligence.

Thanks for the link Mussitate. I am sure there is lots of dirty wheeling and dealing going on between the LNP and mining companies. In NSW the Greens and Lock The Gate have been exposing how the Environmental Protection Agency has been hiding their negative findings about unsafe mining practises. One has to wonder why this government agency, set up to safeguard public safety is refusing to release any information about negligence of various mining companies.  Information has only been gained through Freedom of Information channels. The EPA is supposed to be serving and safeguarding the public interest so why the secrecy? Orders from above?

I always feel that IF it is proven that a government ACTS or FAILS to ACT, and which proves to be detrimental to Australian taxpayers and this NATION, particularly when it is shown that they receive benefit or personal gain, then those persons/party should face the people in a court of LAW.  Treason comes to mind.. but then, I am possibly harder than most.

at least Gillard had the guts to admit she was an Atheist

 

Also, The Opposition leader, Mr Abbott, was forced to repay taxpayers nearly $9,400 after receiving travel expenses to promote his book Battlelines in 2009.

The sad thing is that I was hoping that people who support the LNP would come on and say they may support the LNP but DON'T support this sort of corruption or behaviour.

It seems hypocritical for them to remain silent when they are the biggest SCREAMERS when a UNION official/officials breach their (rather restrictive) act, or accepts money from corrupt business leaders, or spends money incorrectly, or acts corruptly or criminally.  

At least UNIONS only deplete union funds whilst still helping their members......they do NOT steal from the taxpayer OR corrupt democratic process of this NATION.

Agree totally with that statement Mussitate, and this comes from someone who helped vote them in last election. Corruption is corruption wherever you see it and should be exposed.

I think it's safe to say, no matter whether it's a LNP, Labor, Greens or Independant senator or member involved, no one who voted for them will ever condone corruption. We have seen it from all sides over the past decade, sadly I doubt we will ever see corruption done with.. just have to keep catching them.

-- who ever it was they voted for --will never admit there IS corruption, seems like some don't like to admit they were wrong ?

One needs to differentiate corruption (which is illegal) and abuse of benefits.

Bith should not be condoned but punished as offences.

Priblem is that in the absence of independent governance and compliance structures, the latter hoes undetected and/or unpunished.

Ill say one thing though, the level of corruption and abuse is FAR GREATER and RAMPANT throughout the labor party.

It is ingrained into their psyche from grassroots all the way to the top

I hate corruption and all sides of government have done it no matter which side you vote for and where they are found out the full force of the law should come down on them.

Whether you vote Labor or Liberal there is always corruption exposed somewhere along the line so it is pointless to point fingers at one person for voting one way or another.

It comes down to individuals in a party NOT the whole party...there is a big difference.
