Music

We have poetry & photography threads so I thought it would be nice to have a music thread. As we more than likely have vastly different tastes in music I wonder what sort you find pleasant.
I have been watching (and downloaded) a tune from the movie Deliverance called "Dueling Banjos"
From wiki "the film is noted both for the memorable music scene near the beginning, with one of the city men duelling on guitar with a strange country boy playing banjo"
You can watch this on youtube by clicking here.

Do you have a link to music that you enjoy ?

I like Pink Floyd or more to the point the Dark side of the Moon album. I like the Beatles and lots of rock but I like classical music too. Bach gave music a big boost and those that followed owe him a lot, counterpoint which you could extend to blues using call and answer riffs. Its all music and it takes all kinds to appreciate or like various kinds of styles. Rap I have no time for, repetitious and no melody. Even worse no killer riffs.

Yesssss.....and the Beatles "White Album" (double-sided) was one of the biggest sellers - a bit like Neil Diamond's "Hot August Night" !  Most people know songs from that (Neil's album)  Although "Back to the U.S.S.R." was  a mega hit by the Beatles on the "White Album"     :-)

I am an old hillbilly ,if it ain't country ,it ain't music

Dolly Parton?  Keith Urban (he country? sorry don't mean to be rude??) Not into country - we all have different tastes in music ........................ :-)

Jolene by Dolly is a great song but don,t know any Urban stuff.
