AirAsia joins Webjet

New routes and air alliances can mean more travel options. Here’s what’s new in the air and on the ground this week.

AirAsia joins Webjet

This week Webjet announced that it has partnered with AirAsia. In an aim to give Australian consumers even greater access to affordable air travel, Webjet has added AirAsia to its website.

AirAsia’s Head of Commercial Australia and New Zealand Stuart Myerscough said that the airline is a great addition to the Webjet portfolio as “AirAsia has always been committed to ‘opening the skies to everyone’, by making air travel more affordable and accessible.”

Webjet’s managing director John Guscic agrees, noting the addition of AirAsia will provide an even greater choice when customers search for international flights.

Beginning with flight VA144, Virgin Australia will roll out its business class on every flight between Australia and New Zealand – including from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Wellington and Dunedin – by 31 March.

The business class cabins will replace the premium economy seats that formerly appeared on the airline’s Australian domestic flights.

Haven't been watching the news in the past 6 months? AirAsia involved in 2 accidents. The one caught on dashcam and splashed over the media was a classic. Pilot error!
You'd have to be brain dead to fly with this carrier. Good luck.

The TWU are calling on the Federal Government to ban Air Asia Indonesia from operating in and out of Darwin and Perth. Lets hope they take notice of them.
