Let the Good Times at Home roll: JPY sings his hits

Font Size:

Scottish-born Aussie pop singer John Paul Young set the global airwaves ablaze in 1978 with his smash hit Love Is in the Air. The hit, so well-known as the theme song for Baz Luhrmann’s film, Strictly Ballroom, catapulted Mr Young into pop stardom, and regular appearances as a performer and guest host on ABC’s Countdown boosted his appeal.

While he may be best known for Love Is in the Air, he also had top 10 chart successes with Standing in the Rain, I Hate the Music and an absolute belter in Yesterday’s Hero, and is an inductee in the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame.

John Paul Young is a living legend and he proves it again with a timeless performance from his home studio. Try to resist fist pumping when he rocks out with Yesterday’s Hero then slips back a gear for the classic Love Is in the Air.
