Oz rock royalty rocks out from home

According to his bio, “Joe Camilleri is one of the most committed and successful musicians this country has ever produced – a man who loves and lives music.”

Hard to argue with that.

He’s written so many songs that are now a part of Australian music culture. Think So Young, Hit and Run, Shape I’m In, Hold On To Me, Harley and Rose, Chained To The Wheel and Never Let Me Go.

From his early days as a self-taught musician in Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons, to his ‘just for fun’ band – The Black Sorrows – and beyond, Joe has given his life to making music in this country.

Joe and the rest of the Falcons were inducted into the Australian Recording Industry (ARIA Hall of Fame) in 2007, and that ‘just for fun’ band The Black Sorrows went on to produce 18 albums over three decades and continue to be one of Australia’s most successful touring bands.

Now Oz rock royalty, Joe Camilleri today rocks out two of his most famous tunes from his living room, with assistance from Black Sorrows guitarist Claude.
