Allen’s latest lolly release might be the sweet surprise you need today

If you’re a lolly lover, brace yourself—Allen’s has just delivered a sweet surprise that’s got Australians buzzing.

The iconic confectionery brand, beloved for generations, has launched a new treat already flying off supermarket shelves. Judging by the early reactions, this is one remix you’ll want to get your hands on.

Allen’s ‘Ripperz Remix’ is a playful twist on the classic Red Ripperz (formerly known as Red Skins). It blends the much-loved raspberry chew with two fresh, fruity flavours: apple and grape.

It’s a trio of chewy goodness, promising a juicy, long-lasting lolly experience for just $5 a bag at all major supermarkets.

With the announcement, sweet-toothed Australians shared their excited comments on social media, with one fan exclaiming, ‘[Oh my god!] I need to hunt these down,’ and another declaring, ‘Wow! I’m very keen to try.’

It seems Allen’s has tapped into our collective nostalgia while giving us something new to chew on.

Shannon Wright, Nestlé’s head of marketing confectionery, said, ‘Australians cherish Allen’s cult classics, so we’re bringing a fresh, flavourful and chewy “remix” to our beloved Ripperz.’

‘We think Australians are going to love this fresh new take with its delicious apple and grape flavours.’

Even comedian Matt Hey has weighed in, giving the new combo his stamp of approval: ‘These new flavours are serving remix realness, and I’m here for it. I’ve always loved the classic raspberry flavour—especially that chewy, juicy goodness—so I can’t wait for Australians to get their hands on juicy Apple and intense Grape.’

Why the focus on chewiness? According to Allen’s, about 31 per cent of their fans prefer chewy lollies, making the Ripperz Remix a perfect fit for those who want their treats to last a little longer.

But Allen’s isn’t just about new releases—it’s also not afraid to shake up its classics. Earlier this year, the brand made headlines by changing the most controversial confection in its iconic Snakes Alive mix.

For years, the orange snake was the odd one out, with many fans turning their noses at what they thought was an orange-flavoured lolly.

The twist? It was apricot-flavoured all along! After a wave of outrage (and laughter), Allen’s listened to the people. They swapped the apricot for a new passionfruit flavour, joining the strawberry, blackberry, lemon, and pineapple ranks.

This willingness to listen to fans and keep things fresh has kept Allen’s at the top of the lolly game for so long.

Whether you’re a die-hard Red Ripperz fan, a Snakes Alive aficionado, or someone who loves a good chew, there’s always something new to discover.

So, will the Ripperz Remix become a new classic, or is it just a fun limited-time treat? Only time (and your tastebuds) will tell. But one thing’s for sure: Allen’s knows how to keep us returning for more.

Have you tried the new Ripperz Remix yet? Are you excited about the new passionfruit snake? Or do you have a favourite Allen’s lolly that you wish would make a comeback? Share your thoughts, reviews, and sweet memories in the comments below—we’d love to hear from you!
