Start the day right with this mouth-watering combination.

Yoghurt and Berries

Light and right, this Berry Delicious Brekky is the perfect way to start your day. Make the berry-yoghurt combo the night before, add to your favourite muesli the next morning and you have a meal in a minute.

Serves: 2


150g fresh or frozen berries

1 tablespoon orange juice

1 teaspoon icing sugar

150g vanilla yoghurt

Muesli of your choice

Combine half the berries, orange juice and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until the berries soften. Set aside to cool then add remaining berries.

Spoon the yoghurt into a dish and top with the berries in syrup. Chill until required, then add to your favourite muesli.

    This is not a healthy breakfast, so much hidden sugar!

    Yummy.....drooling. Sounds so much healthier than my usual porridge/full cream milk/approx 1/2cup of "All Bran" with sliced banana & drizzled with honey on top. Bacon & eggs on toast (don't give a damn what colour the bread is) on wk/ends. My fav is French Toast topped with some canned apricots/berries + big dollops of thickened full-cream (sometimes sprinkled with Milo) when have time & just crave it (as am now!?).

    I've been having similar using Coles or Woolies natural yogurt, and thawed frozen blueberries or raspberries. No added sugar, juices or meusli. Just 2 jingredients. Delicious.
