Add a little kick to this simple chicken dish with chilli and cumin.
Adding a couple of spices to this simple chicken dish will give a little kick. With a creamy sauce and the delicious flavours of tomato and bacon, this is definitely a flavoursome dinner.
- 4–6 chicken drumsticks
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon chilli powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 red capsicum, diced
- 1 green capsicum, diced
- 440 g can tomato and bacon soup
- 300 ml sour cream
Heat the oil in a frying pan. Sauté the chicken, onion and spices for 10 minutes. Add the capsicum, soup and 3/4 can of water to the pan. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove the chicken. Add the sour cream to the sauce, simmer for five minutes. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and serve with rice.
