Grilled Asparagus makes the perfect snack, starter or side dish with nutty, crisp asparagus spears and a buttery glaze.
Time: 11 minutes
- 200g asparagus spears
- olive oil
- knob of butter
- 1 teaspoon flaked almonds, toasted
Cook asparagus in boiling salted water for two minutes. Drain and toss with a little olive oil. Heat a pan to very hot; place the spears on the pan and cook for a few minutes, turning to get a nice charred effect all over. Divide the asparagus between two plates; melt butter in microwave, and top each pile with a drizzle of melted butter, toasted flaked almonds and seasoning.
