Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies with milk

Today’s Peanut Butter Choc Chip Cookies provide the ultimate test for resisting temptation – they are simply that delicious!


  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon bi-carbonate soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips



Preheat oven to 180ºC. Put a sheet of baking paper over a baking tray.

Mix all ingredients together. Use hands to form mixture into dough-balls. Place dough-balls on tray and squash flat into biscuit shapes with a fork.

Cook for eight minutes and serve warm.

    These will be so bland without vanilla extract. ALWAYS add at least a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract (preferable to essence) to chocolate chip cookies or all you'll be tasting is flour. Woolworths' "freshly baked" cookies lack this ingredient and are awful, whereas Coles do fantastic chocolate chip cookies. This is regardless ast to whether or not there's peanut butter, it ain't no thang without vanilla!

    Totally agree with you Maggie re the addition of vanilla....a good quality vanilla to most things sweet changes it for the better!
    A gluten intolerant friend gave me this recipe minus the flour ages ago. Amazingly it works really well .Very moreish!

    These are truly delicious - and I don't use any vanilla in them. I got the recipe some years ago and whenever I make them they don't last long in the house - so be careful how often you do this baking. I always warn people, also, that they contain peanuts - just in case.

    I made these & doubled the quantity. They are really nice. Let them cool on the tray.
