Pineapple Cake

Craving something sweet and tropical, but short on time? Why not try this quick and tasty Pineapple Cake. It’s healthy, yummy and gives you a natural sugar hit. Garnish with strawberries to add some extra flavour.


  • 3 tablespoons whole wheat white flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon almond milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey (10g)
  • 1/2 tablespoon black treacle
  • 1 pineapple ring
  • Strawberry for garnish



Preheat oven to 280°C degrees. Mix the flour, cinnamon, and baking powder, then add the almond milk, vanilla, honey and black treacle. Mix until just combined to make the batter.

Place the pineapple ring in a small ramekin or bowl. Pour the batter in and bake for 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown. Garnish with slices strawberry and voila!

    an oven that high for one little cake, how stupid is that?

    Couldn't agree more auzmc. I was so surprised to see a recipe that had the temps in Celsius, it took a moment to realise the temp. for one little cake . If you ask me I think it was in Fahrenheit in the first place and someone didn't realise that. 280F is approx 140 C by my calculation. That might be enough for that cake.
