I don't go the flix very often but I have to say, when the Jersey Boys came to our local cinema I just had to go, and my money wasn't wasted. The singing was superb and the actors were great. It took me back to my teenage years and brought tears to my eyes. Great film, i'll just have to buy the DVD now.

We've been to the movies 40 times this year and have enjoyed most of them. Those that were least enjoyed were almost all American films, and we avoid them much of the time....however 'Osage County' starring Meryl Streep was brilliant.; and so was an unusual movie called 'Her'. 'The Great Beauty' was excellent, and 'Tracks' was a beautifully told true Australian story. If I had to pick a favourite out of the wonderful selection offered in 2014, I'd say the winner is 'The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared'. Just the title alone is enough to intrigue, and the movie is completely and utterly wonderful, funny, human and captivating all the way through.

Don't go to the movies very often, but did see Tracks. However was quite disappointed as it completely wrongly represented that part of Australia. It is not a vast sandy desert, but has a cover of low growing shrubs and spinifex with some trees right cross the centre. Just look at the pictures in the Len Beadell books discussing the work he and his crews did putting in the Gunbarell Highway and those numerous other tracks.
