Thinking outside the earth

These images taken by Andre Kuipers show earth from a whole new perspective.

Thinking outside the earth

Many argue about the where the world’s best views are, but we’re fairly sure Andre Kuipers’s wins. The Dutch physician and European Space Agency astronaut was selected to participate in International Space Station expeditions.

Leaving Earth in December 2011, he returned the following July, but not before capturing these amazing images of our planet. A view most of us will never witness firsthand, these images show our planet from a whole new perspective.

Wow! Any chance of finding out where and/or what [each of] the individual photos are?

If you visit Andre's Flickr page, you can read a short description of each image, but unfortunately for us they're usually written in Dutch, the astronauts native language.

I wish Mr Putin and ISIS and all the so called leaders of the world have a look and see what a beautiful place we all live in, maybe one day they will but sadly they are to blinked to realise.

The sad truth is sometimes people don't see a wonderful thing until it is all taken away. Just as an example look at the way we're treating places like the Great Barrier Reef. I feel a lot more could be done to protect these wonderful sites.
