At 75 years of age, Ernestine Shepherd is the world’s oldest competitive female bodybuilder. She also teaches exercise classes for seniors and works as a personal trainer in her spare time. Ernestine didn’t take up bodybuilding until she was in her 50s.
She eats a low calorie, high protein diet, runs 130 kilometres each week and refuses to take supplements to help with her bodybuilding. “Exercise is the ultimate anti-aging pill,” she says.
